Breeze On A Switch

When you open one or two windows and turn on the QuietCool fan, the cool breeze starts. The cooler air outside will create a breeze inside the house right away, making the homeowner feel up to 10 degrees cooler, and sometimes even more, right away.

This breeze will be carried through your home to every on-and-working QuietCool whole house fan, which will start the cooling process. At the same time, cooler air from outside will be sucked into the attic and pushed through the attic vents. This will push out the hot, stale air in the attic. If you let the hot air out of your attic, your house will stay cooler during the day.

As the evening goes on and it gets even cooler outside, we suggest you open more windows in other rooms of your house. Then, before going to bed, shut all the windows in the house except the ones in the bedrooms that are being used. This will keep each room cool for as long as it needs to. If a QuietCool is put in each bedroom, as we suggested, the homeowner can enjoy the breeze and privacy even when the door is closed.

Note: When using the QuietCool system, make sure you don’t open too many windows or any windows too wide. This will reduce the cool breeze you feel. There is a “sweet spot” where the openings of all the windows in a house are “just right” so that a nice breeze blows through each open window.

THERMAL MASS COOLING

When it is the right size, a QuietCool system will replace all of the air in a home 15-20 times per hour, or about once every 3–4 minutes. QuietCool is able to do well because of the “active” breeze.
The QuietCool system gets rid of old, hot air and replaces it with fresh, cool air. This makes the whole room feel “cooler.” All of this happens quickly and loudly, 15 to 20 times an hour, which is why it works so much better than a cracked window.
So, instead of recycling hot, stale ambient air through a closed-loop air conditioning system, the QuietCool system exchanges hot, stale ambient air with fresh, cool outside air through an open-loop whole house ventilation system… at a fraction of the cost of running an air conditioner.

NET EFFECT OF COOLED MASS

A home with a “cool mass” doesn’t heat up as much or as quickly as one with a “hot mass.” Within a day or two of putting in a QuietCool system, homeowners are surprised to find that their house is still cool from the night before when they get home from work.
The house can stay cool because a QuietCool system cooled the mass of the house, so it didn’t heat up as quickly as it usually would.
QuietCool is a truly innovative product that lets people save money by turning off their air conditioner and turning on their QuietCool system.
